We here at CubicleGM pride ourselves on being slightly different from your average run-of-the-mill sports blog. So when drawing up plans for a seven part college football preview (focusing on the six BCS affiliated conferences with one post highlighting the mid-majors) it only felt natural to go with a 3-3-5 format, ala West Virginia’s defense.

But unlike the Mountaineers’ quirky and extremely porous defense, our 2009 college football preview will highlight the most important feature of any good stack 3-3-5: speed and versatility. These previews are meant to pack as much information as possible into a very small, quickly legible, and highly processable (yeah, so, I made up a word, big whoop, wanna fight about it? ) post: the three best teams in the conference, three must-see games, and five playmakers you should know about. Unlike West Virginia’s defense, we’ve got you covered from all angles.
