Sources: Vick Signs with Carolina Panthers [Philadelphia Eagles]

Note: Post updated Thursday, 9pm. (CHARLOTTE, NC) The brothers Cloud will be more than excited to see that the Carolina Panthers Philadelphia Eagles have indeed signed ex-convict, ex-Carolina-Panthers-killer, reformed-dog-lover Michael Vick to undisclosed terms. Sources across Twitter have confirmed in the late afternoon on Wednesday that the embattled quarterback will join the John Fox Andy Reid-led team that plays in the same a different division as than Vick’s former squad, the Atlanta Falcons.

Despite having three quarterbacks already on the squad that Fox Reid likes, Vick brings speed and Wildcat-formation potential to the Panthers Eagles, a team not known for looking for creative solutions to their past offensive woes. Teamed up with Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith, and “Double Trouble” — the running back combination of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart that puts fear into the hearts of Tampa Bay’s defense Vick could add a third dimension to an offense that historically ranks in the middle of the league.

Though Carolina Panthers Philadelphia Eagles officials could not be reached for comment, there’s never been a recorded instance of Twitter sources being wrong.
