Link: Live Blogging the PGA Championship

I really wish that we had the time today to “live blog” the first-round of the PGA Championship, but since it seems like none of us do, we’ll offer someone else who is.  The best one out there today seems to be Jason Sobel, on ESPN.  We hate to feed the beast, but you can’t hide from it; most everybody else seems to only be posting “live” updates every few hours.

If you’ve only got a few minutes, Tiger started hot and finished the day at -5 with a string of birdies on the front-nine to start the day.   See the latest leaderboard at right.  For those anti-Tiger cats out there, His Majesty’s recent slow-paying nemesis, Padraig Harrington, is gunning for it and tied for second at -4.  Various jokers follow at -3 and -2 (for now), through Lee Westwood at -2, but he’s still finishing up (on 17).

Nothing like a major on Thursday/Friday to end the week.
