CubicleGM Hits Its Adolescent Years

During World War II, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill remarked: “This is not the end.  It is not even the beginning of the end.  But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”  We can get our heads around that.

Matt Stairs once said, “When you get that nice celebration coming into the dugout and you’re getting your ass hammered by guys — there’s no better feeling than to have that done.”  We’re not quite sure what that means.

With this inspiration in mind, it is with great pleasure that we announce a few major changes at CubicleGM to occur in the next ten days.

Our lineup of CubicleGM contributors will grow from two, affectionately known to date as Vlookup Vince and CAPS LOCK CARL, to six starting in the next week.  Each of these new contributors will introduce themselves to readers during this period.  These contributors will allow CubicleGM to diversify its focus, while providing the same conversational, though-provoking and experiential content that you have come to expect, on a daily basis, across a number of sports topics.  As always, this content will rely on collaboration with you, our readers.

We are very proud and excited by the writers we are adding to the team.  Each is experienced, talented and has made a significant contribution to the discussion of sports, whether in blog or other forums, such as Bleacher Report, as well as more traditional media.  The acquisition of these writers includes the integration of the successful sports blog Sports Brethren into the CubicleGM family.  We believe that this integration, along with the addition of our other new writers, will enable the platform to better provide the sports discussion that continues to be requested by our readers.

Finally, additional improvements to the site itself will also be rolled out over the next several weeks.  Don’t be alarmed if the baseballs in our banner that have come to soothe you throughout the day change; we’ll still be here providing the same quality, entertaining content.  We look forward to rolling out these enhancements with you and introducing our new and improved contributor team over the coming days.

With these changes, CubicleGM continues pursue its vision of providing a resource and platform for open sports discussion amongst “general managers” in cubicles around the world.  No matter how mundane your “day-to-day” may be, you are always welcome to come join the conversation at CubicleGM.

Love,
The CubicleGM Founding Team
