What if Tyler Hansbrough and Luke Harangody played 1 on 1 to 21 by 1′s on an outdoor court? The winner gets to be the son of Luis Scola and Mark Madsen and enjoy an 8 yr career in the League. The loser has to be the son of Josh McRoberts and…some tissues.
I got Hansbrough , 21-18.
I agree on the winner, but the score won’t be that close. Hansborough has the mid ranger, and the solid inside game. He would eat harongody alive. But I love the thought exercise. Why don’t borderline players put these together for the exposure, and make some quick loot? Weekend long 1 on 1 tourney? 2 weeks before the NBA draft – the forward/center division and the guard division. Genius.
I think Hansbrough the Freshman is constantly complaining and begging for fouls, then finally Harangody gives him a few toward the end of the game and young Tyler shoots 1-of-6 from the line and stamps of the court in a forfeit, 17-12.
Hansbrough the Senior probably wins, yeah, maybe 21-17. But I do doubt his ability to play on pavement, especially if there’s a little drizzle. Plus, is there a 3-second rule in this one-on-one matchup? I’ve always wondered how that would play out for two big guys. If it comes down to 20-footers I could see giving Harangody the edge.
Free throws? 3 seconds? Dang Frank, you soft. Ever notice how Harangrundle smacks himself in the forehead when he shoots? Please watch out for this on ESPN2 tonight.
